Meet Brand Ambassador Heidi Caine and her noble steed Rivervales Polo (he is nicknamed Beanie, because he looked like a bean when he came off the farm)
His Dam was a top dressage and showing horse that she owned and rode before she went to WEG, and his sire is Priceless. His Dam, after having 2 foals, evented with a junior up to the highest level.
Heidi’s aspirations for them in 2022 are to get up to 3-star and also do dressage shows (hopefully go up the grades here too). “I have been riding for 43 years, now I’m really showing my age” Her brother started riding first and because he was too young to go on the bus by himself she used to go with him and watch.
“I didn’t ride until a pony called Heidi arrived, and then I leased her and eventually got a pony of my own.” Her brother stopped riding, but the bug had bitten and Heidi just loved the bonds she could build with her horses and being an animal lover, it just was her happy place. Still is…
“Polo is the most beautiful, lovable, well-mannered horse in the stable and on the ground. But once you put your butt in the saddle, you never know what to expect. He can be like a donkey one day or totally ‘BiPolo’ the next. When it comes to shows, he puts his game face on and always does his best for me.
I just love him so much, and he must love me too because he just looks after me around the big butt cross-country courses and we have a lot of fun together. Lotsa love for Beanie.”
