Meet Dr. Evert Olivier (and his sidekick Frankie)

He grew up on a farm, just outside Bergville, KZN, where he started milking cows and feeding chickens since he was a little boy. The farm has been in the family for 7 generations and he is continuing the tradition by breeding Brangus beef cattle on the family farm.

He qualified as a veterinarian in 2012 and is currently owner and director of Bapsfontein Animal Hospital as well as Rynfield Veterinary Hospital. He likes treating all types of animals especially if it can be done outside in the fresh air.

He enjoys outdoor activities like fishing, 4×4 and traveling. If he has a weekend off you’ll find him in the small mountain rivers flyfishing for wild trout.
